I was tasked with getting our Citrix server Xenapp6.0 upgraded to a newer supported version but no one seems to be able to help, I requested from our supplier to see if they could help, They said to create a citrix account and log a ticket, I did that and sent them the file from 'My Files' folder, They came back and said please contact your local citrix agent. Uninstall Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace from Apps and Features. Run Citrix Cleanup program Citrix Receiver/Workspace Cleanup Utility Install Citrix Workspace.

I was having issues with my remote desktop so I got the instructions to re install it. I downloaded the uninstall tool, I removed it, rebooted pc, then i downloaded the most recent version Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR for Windows, then I tried to install it, but iIjust got an error message saying, 'this is not the most recent version of citrix, we reccomend to download and install the most recent one from the citrix website'. All I can do is click and close the error message and thats it.

Beginning August 2018, Citrix Receiver has been replaced by Citrix Workspace app. While you can still download older versions of Citrix Receiver, new features and enhancements will be released for Citrix Workspace App. Citrix Receiver for Windows has evolved to meet the platform and user requirements of the latest XenApp and XenDesktop releases.
